Getting Ready...

I know The Calendar says its Spring, but the thermostats say its still winter!

Actually this was last Aprils Snow....notice the dying daffodils, this year there hardly a green shoot out of the ground.

My Son and I had a great day Skiing at Greek Peak yesterday. Alex has quite a beard for a 12 year old.
I think its due to the all the fresh country air!

At the Bistro we are getting ready for our opening next weekend.
Mike Foster has been spring painting, we've all been spring cleaning and spring decorating...Cookie even made me vegan spring rolls for lunch this week, they were delicious.... I'm so lucky!

Don't forget to call and make your reservation for this weekend. We are so looking forward to seeing you all again.

Good Morning Springtime!!!

Pumpkin Hill Bistro & Vineyard is awakening from its winter sleep. We're  yawning a bit and only have one eye open, but we're out of bed, not yet running but quietly excited about the new season that lies before us.

Snow Drops ....so exciting! I saw them just this morning, and on a day that they're predicting the real stuff.

Our first weekend  is just around the corner and that's
 Easter Weekend.

Friday March 28th and Saturday 29th.... We open for Lunch and Dinner. We will be serving 12 noon till 8pm.

Easter Sunday we are taking reservations for Brunch and Dinner... We will be serving 12 noon till 6pm.

After a good winter rest and a little Arizona sunshine,  Cookie
is longing to get back in her Kitchen. She's been busy trying out new recipes and is very proud of the Easter Brunch she's put together.

Check back for the Easter menu and other exciting news in a few days.  So looking looking  forward to seeing you all again soon.

Winter Sleep!

Pumpkin Hill is now in its Winter Sleep!

Today the wind is howling as it rushes across the lake up the meadow through the vineyard and shouts its arrival outside my window.
Its screaming the promise of snow tonight and arctic temperatures tomorrow.
Inside the farm house, the lights have been flickering but the furnace hums on..... think me mad, but this for me beats sitting on any beach in Florida!

I  hope that where ever you spend your winter, that its filled with the wonder of nature and the comforts of a happy home.

Our Spooky Harvest Dinner

A great time was had at our 3rd annual Spooky Harvest Dinner this past week!
Cheers!.... Yea baby!
Some of our spirited guests hanging out with Hector.
Our Wine Maker Chris Stamp and his lovely Wife Liz. We feature three of Pumpkin Hills own wine plus three of Lakewood Vineyards wines from his family run Winery.
All wonderfully delicious!
Warm mulled wine and Fall Sangria made from  our Pumpkin Hill Wine was served with Dinner...Yum!
Cookie the "Goddess" with Hector and myself... at this point I have a confession I was so into eating the food I forgot to take any photos...but let me assure you it was all organic and locally sourced and
 absolutely fabulous!
Our own lovely "Wine Wench" Nancy

Who knew that Werewolf's drank wine!
Totally Wicked!
